Eventhough as a fluke, I managed to install the Windows version of the Mobipocket Reader software today in my pc. And found out a few cool things.
This stuff actually converts PDF and CHM files into PRC!!!.... WITH IMAGE SUPPORT. Not even Repligo did that...Not to say regulars like Office Documents, HTML, TXT etc. Also OCF Files, dunno whats that about, but thats not the cool thing.
Once its converted, the file size reduces upto ONE FOURTH!!!!!! Yes its true. More shocking is how cool and neat it is to read in PC. Sooo strainless to the eye with cleartype and all..
And all this can be transferred to Mobile too.. Less space, easy to read in mobireader, and images too..WOW THATS AMAZING!!!
I am actually having half a mind to convert ALL my PDF files to PRC format!!!
Also planning to experiment to see how the scanned PDFs turn up, like the Kaplan ones..
