Distance between major Indian cities

I was trying the distance between thrissur and mumbai, and it seems it is 1356 Kms. Found if using http://www.luxurytoursofindia.com/distance-calculator.html which uses mapsofindia.com. This info was needed to find the STD charges to Mumbai

Jaxtr workaround

I think the following trial can be used to place FREE or lowcost calls from my home in India to my home number in usa.
1.Using freedigits.com, register multiple virtual phone numbers, all freely forwarded to my home no.
2.Register multiple jaxtr accounts, each using a virtual number from step one, and activate each number.
3.To each of these jaxtr accounts, place a call to my virtual numbers, first time for free and next time using the std number obtained.
4.Trick is not tested yet, has to update this post after a trial and error done.

Bookmarks Bookmarks

Should I say DARN...... Or should I not?  The much touted Opera desktop browser latest edition seems to have a problem in managing its bookmarks.  And as a result I am having difficulty in managing and arranging it into beautiful folders, rather than the list being run into a VERY VERY long ddrop down  list.

Looks like I will have to post each and every bookmark link into my blog as well, just like I started doing for Opera Mini.  Universally Accessible...DING!!

New Phone Number

As usual, I was tinkering with some voip sites yester evening, and finally ended the day procuring a new incoming phone number for free. They said it could be forwarded to any number inside the country for free. Tried that thing today morning after I input my cellphone number in the config page. And sure enough, my cellphone rang after I dialled that other number using my landline. More and more to come I guess, as freebies are on the rise.

Baby steps again

Ok, after recapturing the blog, this is an attempt to send a post from the cell using a webmail client. Go blogger is not very good and this seems to be a better alternative. Lets see if this gets posted properly.

Back Again

Phew..

After a few months of inactivity, I can finally reclaim my blog post again.  These people here had associated this with google, and everything is a mess now.  Page still takes ages to load.  Now to see if I can do this with my vox client.
